1st Christmas in Colorado

Jason and I spent our first Christmas in Colorado since we made an early visit to Iowa for the holidays after I had a conference in Chicago.  We even had a WHITE Christmas!  We got about 3 inches of snow on Christmas Eve.  It was definitely different being away from the families on Christmas day, but I'm glad we had the opportunity to visit a couple of weeks early and spend our first Christmas in the new house. 

While I was in Chicago, Kitty came up to stay with me for a night and we went on a dinner boat cruise and did some shopping on Michigan Avenue.

Christmas morning was quiet in our house, and then we went down to Castle Rock for Christmas dinner with Grandma Phyllis. 

Hubble was so happy that Santa brought him a nice candy cane bone that he enjoyed by the fire on Christmas morning.  Jason and I sipped on Strawberry Bellinis instead.  

 

Both Jason and I had the week between Christmas and New Years off of work so we spent a lot of time lounging around, watching movies, and relaxing.

  

and... spent some time eating and visiting the local breweries

and... made a visit to the local Holiday Light walk (burr!) 

and... updated our office!  Merry Christmas to us! :) 

(still needs a little design work :)
