Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake & Oscar Party

So- one of my 2012 new year's resolutions was to become more domestic and "wifey" by cooking, decorating, being crafty.  So far I'm failing.  I think Jason cooks dinner more often than I do.. and I haven't been keeping up with the blog either.  I'm going to try to turn things around!

Here are my excuses!
Nuggets Games....
Family Ski Trips
Grandma, Uncle Tim, and I at the summit of Winter Park
Jason can't stand up in the trees :)  I just laugh and take pics... sorry honey!
Grandma, Jason and Tim at the summit of Winter Park (clouds are gone! -such a beautiful day!)

Jason and I pretending like we were going to do some backcountry skiing
Hot Tub... So Relaxing!

Birthday Celebrations & Secret Brown Bag Brews :)

and More Skiing!

I did make time to try out a new recipe for mini cheesecakes!

This was my first attempt at cheesecake - I think they were a hit at the Oscar party (aka Sunday Family Dinner that only Jason and I dressed up for).  I just don't think I would recommend making them in cupcake form... and I need to remember to cook things just a bit longer to adjust for the altitude.

You'll have to visit Annie's Eats for the recipe & directions! But here are some pictures from my baking experience.  The Magic Bullet came in handy!

Yummm.... Raspberry Swirl!
All dressed up for the Red Carpet... :)

We do have some big things that are coming up...  LOTS of visitors during the month of March- yay! So we get to act like tourists and visit the microbrews, do some hiking and skiing, and eat out at lots of yummy places!
and....
Jason and I are just starting to think about a home purchase out here in CO- so I'll keep ya'll updated on the progress.  Should be an interesting search!
